High-speed pursuit crosses state lines, leads to an arrest in Cass County

A man has been arrested following a high-speed chase that began in Cass County, crossed state lines into Minnesota, and subsequently returned to North Dakota.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department reports that the pursuit commenced at approximately 2:40 a.m. on Monday, May 8, near Horace, at the intersection of 45th St. S. and 100th Ave.

Law enforcement attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation, but the driver chose to flee instead.

The precise route taken by the vehicle as it entered Minnesota and later returned to North Dakota has not been confirmed at this time.

Ultimately, authorities managed to bring the vehicle to a stop and apprehended the male driver. No other individuals were present in the vehicle, and no property was damaged during the course of the chase.
