Temporary lane closure planned on Beaton Drive east of Sheyenne Street for soil boring work
West Fargo, North Dakota – Drivers traveling along Beaton Drive should prepare for a temporary lane closure and possible traffic delays as crews carry out soil boring work.
A portion of the westbound lane of Beaton Drive, located east of Sheyenne Street, will close beginning Wednesday, September 30. The closure is necessary so crews can safely complete the planned soil boring work in the area.
Flaggers will maintain two-way traffic
Although part of the westbound lane will be unavailable, the road will remain open to traffic. Flaggers will be stationed at the work area to guide vehicles and maintain two way traffic through the remaining open lane.
The work is expected to be finished Thursday, October 1. However, the schedule depends on weather conditions, meaning unfavorable weather could affect when the project is completed.
Motorists should expect the possibility of delays, particularly during busy commute periods, and are encouraged to adjust their travel plans accordingly.
Drivers traveling through or near the construction area are also reminded to follow the ‘S’ check by paying attention to their speed, space and stress. Motorists should remain alert, follow directions from flaggers and use additional caution while passing through the work zone.
