Fargo Police Department to reveal new crime data showing ongoing downward trend

Fargo, North Dakota – The Fargo Police Department will share an in-depth look at public safety trends during a scheduled news conference set for Monday, Feb. 23, at 11:30 a.m. The briefing will focus on 2025 crime statistics and provide residents with insight into patterns shaping safety across the community.
Police Chief Dave Zibolski is expected to present key findings, including a notable decline in overall crime. According to the department, crime fell by 10 percent from 2024 to 2025, continuing a steady downward pattern that followed a 6.8 percent decrease from 2023 to 2024. Officials say the presentation will break down major crime categories while highlighting emerging trends and the strategies used to address them.
