Fargo Police Department invites residents to community meeting focused on Beat 3 safety and neighborhood concerns

Fargo, North Dakota – The Fargo Police Department is inviting residents to attend a community meeting later this month aimed at strengthening communication and building relationships between officers and the neighborhoods they serve. The meeting will focus on central Fargo, an area identified as Beat 3, and is part of an ongoing effort to keep residents informed and engaged in local public safety efforts.
The gathering is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 26, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will take place in the Oak Room at Fargo Cass Public Health, located at 1240 25th Street South. The meeting is open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend and participate.
Focus on Beat 3 Safety and Community Dialogue
Beat 3 includes the area between Main Avenue and Interstate 94 and east of Interstate 29. Officers serving this region will lead the session, beginning with a presentation that outlines departmental operations, reviews 2025 crime statistics, and highlights ongoing initiatives intended to improve safety within the beat.
Residents will have opportunities to ask questions throughout the presentation. Afterward, the meeting will transition into an open discussion period, allowing attendees to share concerns, provide feedback, and discuss issues affecting their neighborhoods.
Police officials say the meeting is part of a broader series of community gatherings planned across Fargo. These meetings are designed to foster direct connections between officers and residents, strengthen trust, and improve communication about safety priorities and law enforcement efforts.
By creating a space for open dialogue, the department hopes to better understand community needs while explaining the strategies used to maintain safety and respond to concerns. Officials emphasize that resident participation plays a vital role in shaping effective public safety strategies and strengthening partnerships that support safer neighborhoods throughout Fargo.
Community members interested in learning more about local safety efforts or sharing feedback are encouraged to attend and take part in the conversation.
