West Fargo Eats will hold season’s first Pop Up Pantry today
West Fargo, North Dakota – West Fargo Eats, a food share alliance, has announced that it will be organizing its first Pop Up Pantry for the season.
This event is scheduled for today, May 18th, and will operate from 4-5:30 pm, offering a contact-free food pick-up service. The mobile food pantry, located outside the Lutheran Church of the Cross, invites all those in need of food assistance to either drive or walk up to receive aid.
With a first-come, first-serve system in place, those in need are not required to place a call in advance. The Pop Up Pantry aims to offer a shopping-like experience to the individuals, providing them with a selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, bakery items, dairy products, stable shelf items, and meats.
To ensure the health and safety of everyone, the event’s volunteers will adhere to all necessary safety measures. For those who choose to drive to the pantry, the organizers request that they remain inside their vehicles throughout the entire process. Furthermore, the organizers advise the clients to arrive not more than 10 minutes before the set start time. There is no requirement to call in advance.
The Lutheran Church of the Cross office is currently accepting donations for West Fargo Eats. The pantry is making a special appeal to the community for an increase in donations of specific items such as cereal, ground coffee, elbow macaroni, and spaghetti sauce.
