Interstate 94 westbound Exit 155 ramp in Mandan scheduled for temporary overnight closure

Mandan, North Dakota – Drivers traveling through Mandan should prepare for an overnight traffic change as maintenance work is scheduled to temporarily close a westbound Interstate 94 exit ramp.

According to transportation officials, the westbound Exit 155 ramp on Interstate 94 in Mandan is expected to close beginning Sunday, May 31, while crews carry out maintenance operations in the area.

Overnight Work Planned

The work is scheduled to take place during overnight hours from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Motorists who normally use the Exit 155 westbound ramp are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes while the closure is in effect.

Transportation officials noted that the closure is expected to be temporary, but additional work may be required depending on project needs and conditions. If crews need more time to complete the maintenance, operations could continue on June 1 during the same overnight hours.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation is reminding drivers to remain alert when approaching the work zone. Officials urge motorists to reduce their speed, follow traffic control devices, and use extra caution while workers and equipment are present.

Drivers seeking updated information about road conditions, closures, and construction projects throughout North Dakota can contact 511 or visit the ND Roads map at travel.dot.nd.gov.

Officials say the temporary inconvenience is necessary to complete maintenance work safely and efficiently while helping keep the interstate system in good condition for travelers.
