Temporary lane closures scheduled on Sheyenne Street between 13th Avenue West and 14th Avenue West

West Fargo, North Dakota – Drivers traveling along Sheyenne Street should prepare for temporary traffic changes next week as private utility work gets underway in the area.

Beginning Monday, July 6, one southbound lane and one northbound lane on Sheyenne Street between 13th Avenue West and 14th Avenue West will be closed while construction crews complete utility improvements.

Motorists urged to plan ahead

Although lane closures will be in place, officials said access to driveways along the construction zone will remain available throughout the project.

The work is expected to continue through Wednesday, July 8, although the schedule could change if weather conditions cause delays.

Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time, especially during busy commuting hours, as temporary lane reductions may lead to slower traffic through the area.

Officials are also reminding drivers to stay alert when passing through construction zones by following the “S” check. That means paying attention to speed, space, and stress to help improve safety for both workers and motorists.

Residents and commuters are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly while the short-term utility project is completed.
