Two individuals arrested for drug-related offenses and child neglect at Fargo hotel
Fargo, North Dakota – On Sunday night, an incident at Fargo Inn and Suites led to the arrest of two individuals on drug charges, with one of them facing an additional felony child neglect charge. Initially, officers were called to the hotel in response to a theft allegation. However, it was soon discovered that the theft claim was unfounded.
Hotel staff had raised concerns about the behavior of one of the suspects, Beatrixx Lefleur, and her 9-year-old daughter. They had noticed frequent and suspicious traffic to and from the room occupied by Lefleur and her child.
Upon making contact with Lefleur, the police detected a burnt odor emanating from the room and observed black residue on her hands. Subsequently, officers obtained permission to conduct a search of the hotel room where another individual, Jarone Latimer, was discovered. Latimer was found in a state of undress and in possession of illicit drugs.
As a result of the investigation, Beatrixx Lefleur was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and felony child neglect. The 9-year-old child was taken into protective custody by Child Protective Services.
Jarone Latimer, on the other hand, was arrested for an outstanding marijuana charge and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additionally, he faced charges of tampering with evidence and destruction of physical evidence when law enforcement officers discovered what appeared to be chewed-up blue fragments of counterfeit fentanyl pills concealed in his mouth.
