Get rid of unwanted items for free during Cleanup Week

Fargo, North Dakota – Spring has arrived, and what better time to do some decluttering than during the annual Cleanup Week?

If you’re looking to get rid of unwanted household items, furniture, and appliances, now is the perfect opportunity to do so.

Cleanup Week, which will run from May 1-5 and May 8-12, offers residents in different cities the chance to have their items collected right from their curbsides.

Rules for pickup vary depending on the city you live in. For Fargo residents, pickup will occur on the same day as your recycling day, with “B” week pickups taking place from May 1-5 and “A” week pickups happening the following week.

Moorhead residents, on the other hand, will have their Cleanup Days coincide with their scheduled garbage day, opposite of their recycling week. Those on A Week Recycling (red) will have Cleanup Day from May 1-5, while those on B Week Recycling (blue) will have it on their garbage day during the week of May 8-12.

If you live in Oakport, pickup will take place on your recycling day the week of May 16. Unfortunately, apartments are not eligible for curbside pickup, but all residents are welcome to bring their excess garbage to the Resource Recovery Center, free of charge, as long as they provide proof of residency.
